Ray Pearson is a Puerto Rican Latin Hip-Hop recording artist originally from The Bronx, NY. Raised in a home where Hip-Hop and Spanish music played nonstop, Ray found his earliest influence through his older brother Mello, which led him to lyrical icons like Eminem and Big Pun. That inspiration pushed him to record his first song at just 12 years old, produced by his cousin DJ HekTek.
Blending traditional boom bap with classic Latin percussion, Ray represents a rising generation of artists embracing both their cultural roots and Hip-Hop foundations. Since 2019, he has proudly showcased his Puerto Rican identity through his music, creating a unique lane within Latin Urban culture.
A 4-time Independent Music Award winner and Fleet DJ’s “Rookie of the Year,” Ray has opened for legends including Joell Ortiz, Styles P, Jeru The Damaja, and Tony Touch. He has performed at major cultural festivals such as the 116th Street Festival, Bronx Puerto Rican Parade, and Jersey City Puerto Rican Festival.
Pushing forward through rejection and adversity, Ray’s mission is to “carry the torch” for Latin Hip-Hop and inspire others to chase their dreams with honesty and fire. With new music dropping under his imprint KAGED MUZIK, Ray Pearson is carving out his place as a powerful new voice in the Latin Urban movement.
